This is a something that happened a couple of weeks ago, when Christian was still here. We wanted to go on a weekend adventure trip, somewhere along the coast. On our way there, however, Christian spotted the below location on the map, so we changed course and made it our destination for the day. It was a super fun outing.

One of my favourite things about life in Tokyo is how easy it is to escape the city and go explore the countryside, without needing to rent a carJust train hopping and getting off at random stations is sure to lead to interesting experiences. The Ghibli museum came up pretty frequently as a MUST SEE when I first visited Japan in 2007. I never went. 1. People who had been there made it sound like the museum was located in a really inconvenient, hard to find location. 2.
